Very disappointing considering how good the early Santangelo books were. I'm currently reading Lucky and its ten times better than Goddess of Vengeance. I loved its predecessor Poor Little Bitch Girl and was excited to see all the characters back again, plus more focus on Lucky who I love. Unfortunately, I found GOV to be very dull and extremely repetitive. Yes, I know Lucky is awesome but I don't need to be told over and over again. Yes, I get that the bad guy Armand is supposed to be a real asshole, but again it felt like this fact was told over and over as well as his appalling attitude towards women. In Poor Little Bitch Girl I loved Denver, she was a fantastic character, in GOV, she seemed like a simpering idiot, more worried over what her boyfriend was doing than anything else. Bobby was the only character I liked in this.I had no interest in Max, who was supposed to be more level headed and smarter than her idiot friends, but she came over as stuck up and annoying. After being so excited and waiting for so long for this, it just didn't do anything for me at all. Hopefully the next Santangelo book will be better.
